We are pleased to share with you that we have renewed the Daalarna logo on the occasion of the 20th birthday of Daalarna. Below Anita Benes shares her thoughts on the new logo.
From the first minute of the establishment of Daalarna, we have built the brand very consciously. The most important core values of the brand are stability, reliability and loyalty. For twenty years, we were loyal to our original logo, which was created by one of my dearest friends, graphic artist Judit Borbély.
Now, on our twentieth birthday, we felt the moment had come to present ourselves with a refreshed image and logo that also properly reflect the digital world while retaining the key values and style elements of our previous logo.
My friend Judit already drew my attention at the time to how good a wedding brand image is when it is made up of female energies. For the past twenty years, I have taken this advice, and I often remind myself that while men create fantastic things, there are times when women see and present things differently. That’s why I’m paying more and more attention to working with as many talented women as possible, and perhaps the best example of this is that every member of my team at Daalarna is a woman.
This time, I am very happy to have been able to work with Eszter Laki, founder of the Red Dot Award-winning Studio NUR to renew Daalarna’s visual communications. We are very proud of the result. https://studionur.com/awards
The renewed Daalarna logo
While the Daalarna logo has undergone a slight update, we have preserved the magenta color and the aesthetics of the previous logo. Our desire was to create an emblem that further aids the visual communication of the Daalarna sense of life and reflects the spirit of the times.
This emblem was born from the intertwining of the letters ‘d’ and ‘a’, reminiscent of wedding rings as well. I have always considered it important to emphasize that a Daalarna wedding dress goes beyond current fashion trends: it conveys value and reliability. With Daalarna, the process of shopping is associated with personalization and craftsmanship, and I feel that our new emblem reflects that perfectly.
