We asked Anita Benes, Daalarna’s designer, about the international reception, and also found out which styles were the biggest favorites of Daalarna’s partner salons in person at the Mélange de Blanc Market in New York.

How was this year’s New York Bridal Fashion Week?
It was fantastic, they loved the new Daalarna collection. For me, it’s always a great experience to meet live with our international partners. We finally got to meet our Sydney partner. Hope X Page has been our partner for over 10 years, but unfortunately, the previous owner was only ever able to attend the fair virtually. I felt that everything was finally back to normal after the Covid period.
What feedback have you received from the partner salons?
They have highlighted our punctuality, precision, the quality and finish of the materials. Also, there was a lot of praise for my colleagues, with whom they have been in daily contact for years. I’m proud that this approach we have had from the beginning has paid off over the years. It was a great feeling to hear from them personally how much they love working with us. I think if Covid has given me anything, it’s certainly this: I’ve come to really appreciate human contact, whether it’s a handshake, a hug, or a smile.
