There are milestones in life that are at once deeply personal and profoundly transformative. For Benes Anita, the past twenty-five years have been shaped by two stories that have unfolded almost side by side: the story of Daalarna and the journey of her daughter, Sára, growing up.
“When Daalarna was born, so was Sára. As the brand grew year by year, as collections came to life and thousands of brides found their dream dresses, a little girl was growing up within the walls of the atelier, too. The world of fittings, lace, silk and fashion shows was always a natural part of her life – in many ways, she grew up alongside Daalarna, almost breathing in rhythm with it.
But now, a new chapter is about to begin. Sára has become a bride.
For the first time in Daalarna’s history, Benes Anita is not only accompanying someone through the journey towards their wedding day as a designer, but experiencing this extraordinary chapter as a mother, too. It is a role she has witnessed countless times from the outside – yet living it from within brings an entirely different depth of emotion.
