On the evening of 29 April 2022, Daalarna held its annual bridal fashion show in Budapest with 2,500 guests attending. For the first time in the history of Daalarna’s annual fashion shows, the show was held outdoors at a liberated, festival-like event.
FESTIVAL AT THE PARK
Since Daalarna was founded 20 years ago, this year’s Daalarna Fashion Show was all about celebration. 2,500 guests, 67 models, 80 dresses, a nearly 300-meter long pink catwalk and 200 people who have been working for months to make the event a reality. We can easily say that this year’s Daalarna Fashion Show has been more spectacular and grandiose than ever.
The festival feeling was not only for Daalarna’s 20th birthday but also for the fact that after the Covid restrictions ended in Hungary, thousands of people were finally able to celebrate together again in one place. The icing on the cake was that on 29 April, bright sunshine greeted our guests arriving at the Millenáris Széllkapu Park.
THEME OF THE 2022 DAALARNA FASHION SHOW
This time not a single collection was presented, but a special collection selected by designer Anita Benes, which also included the iconic Daalarna clothes from previous collections. In addition, the audience could see pieces from the latest TIMELESS collection, as well as clothes with a futuristic feel in pink, purple, red and other bright colors, specially designed for this occasion.
The hairstyles of the models were created by the team of L’Oréal Ambassador László Lajas, while Zita Sipos was responsible for the make-up, and the beautiful jewellery was the work of Adrien Nagy (Rienne Bride).
There was also a bouquet toss in the finale of the show: the 67 models threw 700 pink roses into the audience, symbolically thanking our guests for celebrating with us that night.

“Twenty years ago, when Daalarna was founded, I didn’t dream of full-fledged fashion shows or having our clothes found in 50 major cities around the world. Then, as my team grew, we dared to dream bigger and bigger together. Always a little bigger and bolder than last year.
At this year’s Daalarna show, we’ve been working with the team for over half a year, and while we were sometimes a little worried about the challenges of organising such a big event, we’ve been looking forward to meeting our audience as we haven’t had a live fashion show since 2019. Thank you so much for celebrating the 20th birthday of Daalarna with us and also to those who followed the events online. The atmosphere on Friday night was incredible! ”
